Senior Account Strategist

Directive Consulting, a leading B2B performance marketing agency, is seeking a Senior CRO Strategist to design, execute, and optimize high-impact conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies for enterprise SaaS clients. Reporting to the Director of CRO, this role involves bridging data insights with creative solutions to enhance advertising, landing page, and website conversion rates. You will act as a strategic partner, providing guidance, conducting CRO audits, designing experiments, and ensuring measurable results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute end-to-end CRO strategies across multiple client accounts.

  • Conduct A/B and multivariate testing, behavior analysis, and research to validate hypotheses.

  • Provide strategic CRO guidance, particularly for clients new to CRO.

  • Conduct audits to assess client strengths and weaknesses and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Establish KPIs for advertising and website CRO, including user experience, journey mapping, and lead generation.

  • Collaborate with other service lines to identify CRO opportunities and support client pitches.

  • Drive cross-sells, upsells, and referrals through client relationships and networking.

  • Travel to visit clients as needed (approximately once per year, per client).

Key Skills and Abilities:

  • Deep analytical mindset with ability to interpret complex data.

  • Expertise in CRO tools (Optimizely, VWO, Adobe Target, Convert.com), web analytics (GA4, Adobe Analytics), heat mapping (Crazy Egg), and reporting/dashboarding (Looker Studio).

  • Knowledge of customer journey tools like Unbounce and HubSpot.

  • Ability to translate complex findings into clear, data-driven recommendations.

  • Strong client-facing experience and excellent communication skills.

  • Active participation in CRO thought leadership, conferences, and networking events.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in a performance/digital marketing agency.

  • 3 years of specific experience in CRO for B2B/SaaS clients preferred.

  • Proven track record of leading strategic CRO initiatives with measurable conversion improvements.
