Description:
Manages the daily security operations to safeguard the staff, assets and premises of the OSC.
- Assists with the development and delivery of security awareness programs, including new staff orientation.
- Maintains accurate documentation of locations of security access readers, duress buttons, and security cameras.
- Primary administrator of security access control system; ensuring timely creation/modification/deactivation of OSC security badges for all badge holders, modifying readers, access levels and other settings as needed, and coordinating timely repairs/installations of system hardware.
- Primary contact for authorizing/changing/deactivating building security badges for all staff, consultants and contractors, and for afterhours emergency access requests or incident alerts.
- Maintains accurate and current log tracking history of OSC and building security badges.
- Prepares and distributes security system access reports as scheduled for management review and reconciliation.
- Responds to all security incidents, tracks details, reports to manager, and contacts appropriate authorities/service providers as necessary.
- Submits travel risk assessments; tracks and reports on travel and risk ratings.
- Assists in the development and documentation of procedures and protocols for: management of office keys, security badges, security responses.
- Coordinates procurement of supplies and services required to support security programs.
- Maintains and actions preventative maintenance schedules for security systems, makes recommendations for repair/upgrades, as appropriate.
- Provides ad hoc security escort of external service providers as required.
- Coordinates police officer bookings for Hearings, and security guard bookings for contractor escorts and ad hoc requirements.
