Security Analyst

Description:

Sun Life is seeking a Senior IAM Security Analyst to lead the delivery and implementation of security technologies within the Global Identity and Access Management (IAM) domain. The role primarily supports the SailPoint IdentityIQ platform and participates in Sun Life’s IAM program. Reporting to the Manager of Technology Support, this position involves project execution, consulting, continuous improvement initiatives, and serving as a Subject Matter Expert in IAM technologies.

The successful candidate will implement IAM projects, support application lifecycle management, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure optimal security and operational efficiency. They will also provide guidance on logical access security standards, data privacy, and governance best practices while addressing internal client queries and enhancing IAM tools.

Responsibilities:

• Understand and apply Logical Access Security Standards (LASD) and data privacy policies.

• Manage project deliverables, prioritize tasks, and support team members in resolving issues.

• Respond to internal client queries, providing technical solutions.

• Collaborate with Security Access Administration and Governance teams to ensure compliance and quality of service.

• Drive continuous improvement in IAM technology and processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience supporting SailPoint IdentityIQ preferred.

• University degree or college diploma in a related discipline.

• 3+ years of IT security experience.

• Technical proficiency in IAM applications within Unix and Windows environments.

• SQL knowledge for data lookup and reporting.

• Familiarity with other IAM tools: SailPoint File Access Management, OKTA, Venafi, CyberArk Vault & PAM.

• Professional IT security designations (CISM, CISSP, CISA) preferred.

• Financial industry experience preferred.

• Availability for some after-hours/on-call support.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
