Sap Reporting Consultant

 

Description:

Our client, a leading financial institution, is undergoing a significant transformation as they transition from legacy General Ledger (GL) systems to SAP. To support this change, they are seeking a hands-on SAP Reporting Consultant for a 6-month contract to assist with post-go-live activities, including data conversion, reporting enhancements, and financial cleanup efforts.

This role is ideal for a CPA-designated consultant with deep SAP experience, particularly in financial reporting and reconciliation, who thrives in fast-paced, data-driven environments. The consultant will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of SAP reporting and data integrity post-implementation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Data Conversion: Oversee the conversion of existing financial data and processes into SAP, ensuring proper mapping to the new Chart of Accounts.

  • Post-Implementation Cleanup: Support post-implementation clean-up efforts to ensure data integrity and ensure accurate system reporting.

  • Report Creation and Enhancement: Create, enhance, and maintain financial reports within SAP, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with finance and technology teams to troubleshoot issues, analyze data variances, and drive issue resolution.

  • Training and Documentation: Develop and deliver training and documentation for finance users on new SAP processes and reporting functionalities.

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements and control enhancements post-go-live.


Qualifications:

  • CPA Designation: CPA designation is required.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 full-cycle SAP implementations, particularly in GL and reporting modules.

  • SAP Expertise: Strong understanding of financial reporting, data structures, and reconciliation processes within SAP.

  • Data Management: Comfortable working with large datasets from multiple source systems and aligning them to the new SAP structure.

  • Technical Skills: Technically savvy and detail-oriented, able to address both financial and system-related challenges.

  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with finance, IT, and project teams.
