Description:

PSP Investments, one of Canada’s largest pension investors with CAD $299.7B in net assets (as of March 31, 2025), is hiring an Analyst for the Security Operations Centre (Incident Response Team). The Information Security team manages governance, security architecture, operations, risk management, awareness, and security mechanisms across global offices. The Analyst will handle incident response activities, monitor security alerts, investigate cyber threats, conduct forensic analysis, collaborate with stakeholders, and support PSP’s cyber risk evaluation processes. The role contributes directly to PSP’s robust, mature security environment and modern technology portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and manage security incidents until resolution and communicate updates.

  • Monitor, triage, and resolve alerts from SIEM, EDR, and other security tools.

  • Maintain incident response plans and develop threat-specific playbooks.

  • Handle threats including malware, phishing, DoS attacks, and data breaches.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders on security strategies and roadmaps.

  • Use MITRE ATT&CK framework to structure investigations.

  • Perform log and forensic analysis.

  • Produce documentation and reports following incidents.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (computer science, engineering) or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 2 years of cybersecurity experience.

  • Knowledge of security monitoring, analysis, and incident response.

  • Experience with modern security solutions (EDR, SIEM, network monitoring, cloud security tools).

  • Understanding of cyberattack lifecycle (reconnaissance → covering tracks).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work with varied technical skill levels and consider others’ hypotheses.

  • Knowledge of system/application threats and vulnerabilities.

  • Experience with scripting languages (KQL, PowerShell).

  • Strong documentation and dashboard/report creation skills.

  • Bilingual (English & French).
