JDass Corp, representing the Mississauga Convention Centre, a premier event venue known for hosting distinguished private and corporate events, is seeking a Sales Representative – Event Venue to join their dynamic and professional team. This full-time, on-site role in Mississauga, Ontario, is ideal for a driven and polished sales professional with a solid background in hospitality, events, or corporate sales.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving venue bookings and revenue, developing client relationships, and managing the complete sales cycle from prospecting to contract finalization. You will collaborate with clients and internal departments to ensure every event exceeds expectations, contributing to the venue’s reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute a results-oriented sales strategy aligned with annual business objectives.
Build and manage a strong pipeline of both new and repeat social and corporate event clients.
Deliver weekly sales reports and performance updates to leadership.
Provide high-touch client service throughout the event lifecycle to secure long-term relationships and repeat bookings.
Utilize CRM tools to manage leads, communications, and follow-ups effectively.
Maximize venue revenue by efficiently managing booking calendars and availability.
Create and present proposals and pricing strategies that align with business goals and client needs.
Ensure timely contract execution and secure payment collection.
Coordinate with culinary, operations, and event coordination teams to execute seamless events.
Represent the brand at industry trade shows, networking events, and promotional functions.
Continuously contribute ideas to improve sales processes and client engagement techniques.
Qualifications & Experience:
3–5 years of successful experience in event sales, hospitality sales, or venue management.
Proven record of closing high-value event bookings and building enduring client partnerships.
Skilled in outbound prospecting, cold calling, and inbound lead conversion.
Strong understanding of event logistics, food & beverage operations, and hospitality best practices.
Highly organized with excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a polished, professional demeanor.
Proficient in using CRM platforms and digital sales tools.
Willingness to attend off-site networking events and actively participate in industry functions.
A proactive and self-motivated mindset with strong team collaboration skills.
