We are a collaborative team, helping clients to access debt capital markets while delivering a range of rating services. The team is focused on business development and client retention. We leverage our proprietary data, cutting-edge technology and robust expertise to provide exceptional client service and solutions.

The Impact And Responsibilities

Impact

This role manages and grows a defined portfolio of issuer clients, driving revenue retention and new commercial opportunities. The Director contributes to the business by strengthening client relationships, shaping commercial strategy for assigned accounts, and supporting adoption of new tools and data-driven approaches that improve client outcomes.

Responsibilities
 

  • Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for an assigned portfolio of public and private rated clients, delivering consistent, high-quality client service.
  • Drive revenue growth and retention by clearly articulating S&P Global Ratings’ value proposition and identifying cross-sell opportunities.
  • Champion AI adoption across client engagement and internal workflows, identifying practical use cases and partnering with product/analytics teams to pilot solutions.
  • Proactively manage commercial discussions for assigned accounts, partnering with your Team Lead on more complex or sensitive engagements.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of Ratings products, processes, and use cases to confidently support client conversations.
  • Track and manage opportunities within a CRM, ensuring accurate pipeline data and timely follow-up.
  • Monitor client activity, market developments, and transaction flow to identify and pursue commercial opportunities.
  • Execute business development activities across assigned accounts, including proactive client outreach and progression of opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Collaborate across teams to support company objectives and ensure coordinated client coverage.
  • Assist with preparation of client materials, account plans, and internal reporting.
  • Operate in strict adherence to regulatory, compliance, and commercial separation requirements.
