Sales Manager

 

Description:

As Sales Manager, Reporting to the EVP, Operations you will be responsible for driving strategic growth and revenue across our core market in oilsands mining, while building new business opportunities in adjacent mining sectors such as hard rock, aggregates, and other resource extraction industries. This role combines technical consultative selling with business development and customer relationship management to position our high-performance materials as the go-to solution for harsh environments.

Qualifications & Requirements:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, business, or a related field (A technical diploma or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline will also be considered)
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the mining, industrial, or wear materials and coatings sectors
  • Demonstrated success in expanding markets and driving revenue growth in technical industries
  • Proven ability to leverage an established network of contacts within the mining industry—including operations, maintenance, procurement, and engineering teams—to generate leads and close sales
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to build relationships with engineers, procurement professionals, and site managers
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills
  • Experience in oilsands mining and/or adjacent mining sectors
  • Familiarity with wear-resistant materials used in slurry piping applications
  • Willingness to travel to mining sites and client locations (25% domestic and international travel)
  • Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and PPT
  • Able to follow established quality and health, safety and environment policies and procedures
  • Must have a valid work authorization in Canada
     

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Growth & Market Expansion
 

  • Drive revenue growth within the core oilsands mining market through account expansion and strategic targeting
  • Identify, assess, and pursue new business opportunities in adjacent sectors (e.g., hard rock, aggregates, quarrying, and other resource extraction industries)
  • Contribute to overall business strategy by providing market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive analysis
     

Technical Consultative Selling
 

  • Act as a trusted advisor by understanding customer challenges and offering tailored, technically sound high-performance material solutions
  • Present value-based proposals that demonstrate the performance, durability, and ROI of Rosenxt’s products in extreme environments
  • Translate complex technical details into business benefits for engineering, operations, and procurement audiences
     

Sales Strategy & Execution
 

  • Develop and execute sales strategies and action plans aligned with company growth objectives
  • Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualifying, presenting solutions, negotiating, and closing deals
  • Maintain accurate and timely sales records, forecasts, and performance reports
     

Client Relationship Management
 

  • Build and manage strong, long-term relationships with key clients, decision-makers, and influencers across mining operations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Leverage your professional network to open doors and generate referrals
