Description:

Airbus is seeking a Procurement Contracts Specialist to join the A220 commercial aircraft programme in Mirabel, QC. The role involves working with internal clients (buyers) to establish strong contractual relationships with suppliers and ensure compliance with Airbus Canada’s legal and operational requirements. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating supply contracts, NDAs, licenses, amendments, and pre-contracts. The specialist will analyze existing agreements, interpret contractual clauses for operational teams, and determine rights and obligations of Airbus Canada. The position emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, autonomy, and strategic thinking in an international, fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and assist in negotiating various types of contracts (supply, confidentiality, licenses, amendments, pre-contracts).

  • Analyze and review existing signed contracts.

  • Interpret contract clauses and validate operational understanding.

  • Determine and clarify Airbus Canada’s contractual rights and obligations.

  • Support internal clients in choosing optimal contractual frameworks.

  • Propose improvements to contractual processes.

  • Work in a cross-functional, collaborative legal–procurement environment.


Qualifications:

  • 5–10 years of experience in a legal position with business involvement.

  • Academic background in law or business.

  • Fluency in French and English (spoken and written).

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and GSuite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets).

  • Strong communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Interest in or sensitivity to the aeronautics industry.
