Description:
Mastercard is actively seeking a Manager, Emerging Vertical Sales to join its Market Development (MD) team, based in Toronto, ON. This full-time hybrid role plays a critical part in Mastercard’s mission to grow revenue across key acceptance ecosystem partners while expanding digital payments, cyber & intelligence solutions, and adjacent platforms.
This role offers a unique opportunity for a strategic, driven, and customer-oriented professional to manage complex client relationships, lead consultative sales engagements, and drive adoption of Mastercard’s innovative payment technologies across emerging verticals.
Deliver strategic sales and account management support, based on deep customer insight and value-driven solution development.
Identify and qualify new business opportunities, especially among new and existing partners, with an emphasis on future revenue growth and strategic relevance.
Lead cross-functional efforts to drive Mastercard product adoption, including digital payments, data analytics, fraud prevention, and treasury solutions.
Collaborate with client executives to build long-term partnerships by mapping their business needs to Mastercard’s product portfolio.
Prepare detailed business cases and financial models to support new initiatives.
Take part in local and cross-functional projects, contributing to innovation and execution across business units.
Lead contract negotiation, execution, and post-sale management, ensuring consistency and alignment with Mastercard’s global strategy.
Bilingual capabilities (French/English) preferred due to national and cross-regional scope.
Proven track record of successfully planning and closing complex enterprise sales in high-stakes environments.
Experience within the payments or technology sectors, particularly in acceptance ecosystems, is highly desirable.
Demonstrated strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving with a passion for creating client-centric solutions.
Strong ability to manage internal and external stakeholder relationships, including at the executive level.
Skilled in navigating matrixed organizations and influencing cross-functional decision-making.
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
