Go RH is actively recruiting on behalf of one of the largest automotive dealerships in Sherbrooke, Quebec, for the role of Sales Director (Directeur/Directrice des ventes). This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader with a strong background in sales and team management to lead a dynamic new vehicle sales department. In this strategic role, the Sales Director will be responsible for overseeing daily sales operations, optimizing team performance, ensuring profitability, and aligning department outcomes with corporate goals. The ideal candidate will be both a visionary leader and an operations expert who thrives in a fast-paced automotive environment.
Inventory and Fleet Management:
Supervise and optimize inventory rotation.
Oversee management of demonstration and courtesy vehicles.
Lead the development and management of fleet sales.
Budgeting and Performance:
Contribute to budget planning, controlling department margins and expenses.
Ensure monthly sales and profitability targets are met.
Analyze renewal results and support the desking process for deals.
Team and HR Management:
Lead daily supervision and coaching of the sales team.
Conduct one-on-one meetings and organize team sessions.
Oversee recruitment, training, and evaluations of team members.
Supervise the financial management team.
Manufacturer Relations & Training:
Participate in manufacturer training and meetings.
Ensure ongoing training and development for the sales staff.
Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers through proactive communication.
Customer Service:
Handle in-person customer conflicts and complaints with professionalism.
Collaborate with floor supervisors to ensure follow-ups on calls and emails.
Implement customer service processes to maintain high satisfaction levels.
Marketing & Lead Generation:
Contribute to marketing initiatives for both new and pre-owned vehicles.
Help plan and execute media campaigns.
Manage digital channels including website, chat tools, social media, and AI-driven tools.
Track lead performance and optimize CRM processes for lead handling.
Bachelor's degree in business or management is an asset.
2 to 5 years of experience in a similar sales leadership role.
Strong autonomy and proven track record in sales management.
Knowledge of digital marketing tools: AI, social media, websites, online chats.
Comfortable with CRM and DMS software.
Functional spoken and written English (to assist English-speaking customers and suppliers).
Strong team spirit and collaborative leadership style.
High degree of autonomy, organization, and a desire to drive change in the organization.
