Description:
Copeland, a global climate technologies leader, is seeking a Sales to expand the presence of Verdant energy management solutions across hospitality and multi-dwelling unit (MDU) markets. The role focuses on building strategic partnerships, training specifying engineers, supporting OEM partners, and influencing specifications for new construction projects. This hybrid position requires strong relationship-building skills, technical understanding of HVACR/controls systems, and the ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and expand a nationwide contractor network to support specification adoption
Train specifying engineers on Verdant automation solutions and establish Basis of Design standards
Deliver product and sales training sessions to OEM channel partners
Prepare quotes and provide sales support to partners and regional representatives
Use Salesforce CRM to manage quotes, opportunities, and account activities
Collaborate with hospitality and MDU teams to pursue new construction opportunities
Master Verdant tools and resources to improve market visibility and acceptance
Serve as a technical liaison between Verdant and external partners for successful project integration
Qualifications (Required):
Proven experience in business development, sales, or technical account management within HVACR, building automation, or controls
Strong relationship-building and presentation skills
Ability to travel 15–20%
Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Legal authorization to work in Canada (no sponsorship provided)
Qualifications (Preferred):
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
Experience working with specifying engineers or OEM partners
Knowledge of HVAC controls or energy management systems
