Description:

Copeland, a global climate technologies leader, is seeking a Sales to expand the presence of Verdant energy management solutions across hospitality and multi-dwelling unit (MDU) markets. The role focuses on building strategic partnerships, training specifying engineers, supporting OEM partners, and influencing specifications for new construction projects. This hybrid position requires strong relationship-building skills, technical understanding of HVACR/controls systems, and the ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and expand a nationwide contractor network to support specification adoption

  • Train specifying engineers on Verdant automation solutions and establish Basis of Design standards

  • Deliver product and sales training sessions to OEM channel partners

  • Prepare quotes and provide sales support to partners and regional representatives

  • Use Salesforce CRM to manage quotes, opportunities, and account activities

  • Collaborate with hospitality and MDU teams to pursue new construction opportunities

  • Master Verdant tools and resources to improve market visibility and acceptance

  • Serve as a technical liaison between Verdant and external partners for successful project integration

Qualifications (Required):

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or technical account management within HVACR, building automation, or controls

  • Strong relationship-building and presentation skills

  • Ability to travel 15–20%

  • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Legal authorization to work in Canada (no sponsorship provided)

Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field

  • Experience working with specifying engineers or OEM partners

  • Knowledge of HVAC controls or energy management systems
