Room Attendant

Description:

Fairmont Royal York, an iconic landmark in Toronto with nearly a century of luxury hospitality, is seeking a Room Attendant (Part-Time) to join its housekeeping team. This role offers an opportunity to create exceptional guest experiences by ensuring rooms are clean, comfortable, and inviting while upholding the highest standards of service and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver warm, friendly, and welcoming service to all guests.

• Clean and sanitize guestrooms and public areas including dusting, making beds, removing soiled linen/garbage, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, disinfecting surfaces, and replenishing supplies.

• Follow detailed cleaning protocols in line with ALL Safe – Stay Well, Leading Quality Assurance, and Accor brand standards.

• Record cleaned rooms accurately using mobile devices.

• Report maintenance requirements and guest concerns to Housekeeping leadership.

• Participate in deep cleaning projects as needed.

• Properly tag and return lost and found items to the Housekeeping Office.

• Work weekends, holidays, and shifts as scheduled while ensuring safety and compliance with health standards.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing and walking throughout the shift.

• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

• Constant kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting.

• Climbing stairs, ramps, and ladders as required.

Qualifications:

• Previous housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel is an asset.

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Highly responsible, reliable, and team-oriented.

• Ability to remain calm and courteous while focusing on guest needs.
