Rock Tools Site Supervisor

Description:

Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is looking to hire a Rock Tools Site Supervisor to support operations in Nunavut. This is a remote full-time role ideal for candidates with extensive experience in the mining industry and a strong ability to lead, train, and manage workshop teams. The Site Supervisor will ensure that work is completed efficiently and safely, meeting both customer expectations and Sandvik's quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and motivating workshop personnel to complete installations and rebuilds at customer sites.

• Assigning duties to staff, managing schedules, approving work hours, and overseeing workshop logistics.

• Responding to customer inquiries and ensuring work orders are completed on time and within quality standards.

• Monitoring job costs, identifying discrepancies, and reporting significant deviations.

• Ensuring compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.

• Coaching and developing team members, providing mentorship and performance management.

• Performing other managerial and technical duties as required by the Service Manager.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience working with heavy industry equipment.

• Prior knowledge of Sandvik equipment is an asset.

• Strong team leadership and communication skills.

• Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.

• Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technical software.

• Ability and willingness to travel for site work.
