Revenue Services Manager

 

Description:

Cadillac Fairview, one of North America’s leading real estate companies, is seeking an experienced Manager, Revenue Services for an 18-month term based in Toronto. The role involves managing all finance service revenue processes, ensuring accurate and timely billing, collection, and reporting while maintaining exceptional stakeholder relationships. This position is ideal for a finance professional with strong leadership, analytical, and process management skills, particularly within real estate or property management environments.

The successful candidate will oversee a team of revenue analysts and play a crucial part in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance with IFRS standards, and continuous improvement in service delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

Revenue Operations & Oversight

  • Oversee all Finance Services Revenue processes and ensure timely rent collection per company objectives.

  • Maintain accurate rent rolls and associated charges in financial systems in line with lease agreements.

  • Supervise the generation and review of accounts receivable reports, delinquency reports, and correspondence to tenants.

  • Oversee billing, rental notices, parking income, and year-end processes to ensure timely distribution.

  • Review revenue-related journal entries for accuracy and compliance with internal control standards.

  • Develop and manage company sales reports and conduct audits, ensuring cost recovery when applicable.

  • Perform 5th-of-the-month rent analysis and manage accounts receivable comment reports for effective oversight.

  • Oversee the management of prepaid accounts, ensuring timely and accurate applications.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, lease administration, operations, and finance teams.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to address billing discrepancies and process improvements.

  • Respond promptly to client inquiries and provide accurate account status updates to prevent delinquency.

  • Ensure consistent communication between accounting, operations, and shared services teams.

Leadership & Supervision

  • Manage, mentor, and train Revenue Analysts, ensuring adherence to company policies and accounting principles.

  • Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and regular feedback meetings.

  • Encourage teamwork and knowledge sharing across the Finance Services group.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Ensure documentation for all transactions complies with internal policies and IFRS standards.

  • Support the design and improvement of consolidated financial and performance reports.

  • Maintain oversight of key revenue controls and ensure process compliance.


Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Business; CPA designation or progress toward it preferred.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 4 years of experience in a managerial role.

    • At least 5 years of experience in accounting, billing, or revenue management.

    • Experience within the real estate or property management sector is strongly preferred.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of revenue-related accounting principles under IFRS.

    • Proficiency with Yardi, Microsoft Suite, and Google Workspace.

    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and reporting skills.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

    • Strong leadership and interpersonal communication abilities.

    • Capable of managing multiple priorities under minimal supervision.
