Description:

Mission: The Retail Sales Development Manager (RDM) is responsible of the execution of Danone’s strategic retail plan (PICOS- Picture of Success) at regional level by leading a team of Retail Specialists. Through optimal store coverage, the RDM enables sustainable profitable growth by leading his/her team at expanding Danone’s presence at all outlets (distribution, space, displays, on-shelf availability and point of interruption). The RDM empowers their team by leveraging retail capabilities (i.e., data and tools) to ensure compliance and capture regional retail opportunities and share continuous feedback to Customer Business Units.

 

 

More specifically:

  • Lead/inspire/coach a team of team of 9 Retail Specialists from Manitoba to B.C.
  • Analyze and present retail sales KPIs to achieve targets while identifying potential gaps
  • Leverage and coach on all retail capabilities (POS sales, PICOS) to identify insights
  • Collaborate with all Customer Business Units to elect Retail Account Priorities (RAP)
  • Evaluate and report back to all Customer Business Units on PICOS performance (Picture of Success) and retail opportunities
  • Manage trade spend to ensure Return on Investment (ROI) with team
  • Conduct weekly field visits to coach the team of Retail Specialists
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams including customer teams, sales strategy, and shopper activation team.
  • Act as an active player in the development of in-field trainings and look of success

About you

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Business degree in administration or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience within the Consumer Package Goods (CPG) industry or similar (i.e., retail sales)
  • Ability to lead and communicate priorities to various levels
  • Strong coaching skills and ability to lead by example
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data collection, KPI reporting, and identifying insights
  • Effectiveness in presentations – ability to identify and define business opportunities, organize information and build presentations to support decision-maker, solutions oriented.
  • Effectiveness in managing information and communications using various tools and procedures (Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI tools, Nielsen data)
  • Based out of the central markets of Vancouver, Calgary, or Edmonton
  • Available to travel to Prairies and BC on a monthly basis
