Baycrest’s Rotman Research Institute is seeking two highly skilled and detail-oriented Research Coordinators to join the Anne and Allan Bank Centre for Clinical Research Trials. This is an exceptional opportunity to work within a premier interdisciplinary research center specializing in cognitive neuroscience, aging, brain health, Alzheimer’s, stroke, dementia, and other neurological conditions. The Rotman Research Institute is internationally recognized for its advanced research facilities including eye-tracking, EEG, magnetoencephalography, and an in-house Siemens 3 Tesla MRI system.
As a Research Coordinator, you will play a critical role in managing clinical research trials from participant recruitment to data management, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and contributing to cutting-edge research that advances understanding of human brain function and aging.
Act as the primary contact for multiple research studies and sites.
Recruit and screen patients based on study protocols and conduct informed consent processes.
Monitor participants’ progress and report adverse events promptly.
Maintain and manage clinical trial data, including Case Report Forms (CRFs) and Clinical Trial Management Systems.
Prepare for and conduct study monitor visits and audits.
Submit and review Institutional Review Board (IRB) documents.
Liaise with physicians, investigators, patients, and staff to coordinate protocols.
Troubleshoot research-related challenges and escalate issues when necessary.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (4 years relevant professional experience may substitute).
Experience: Minimum 2+ years of clinical research experience with knowledge of clinical trial methodology.
Certifications: GCP, Health Canada Part C Division 5, IATA certifications required; phlebotomy certification preferred.
Familiarity with Health Canada, FDA, and ICH GCP regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong critical thinking, time-management, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects independently while meeting deadlines.
High level of confidentiality, attention to detail, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Certification as a Clinical Research Professional is an asset.
