Research Assistant

Description:

Data analysis contribution, extract datasets for data analysis, apply advanced methods to analyze longitudinal data and conduct GWAS; interpret and summarize statistical results.

Report research results and developments at laboratory meetings, scientific conferences, and in peer-reviewed scientific publications

Contribute to figures and text for manuscripts and grant applications

Communicate research in scientific conferences

Qualifications:

Master’s in dental-science and related disciplines

Experience with recruiting and clinical studies tools (e.g. Redcap) and ability to manage laboratory information management system (LIMS). Knowledge of Nanuq is an asset.

Computer skills for the analysis of data and programming languages (Python) (R).

Proficiency with MS Office, GraphPad Prism, SPSS, Adobe Photoshop.

Familiarity with databases and web tools including NCBI Gene/Nucleotide/GEO Datasets/dbSNP, UCSC Genome Browser, GTex, RefWorks.

Experience of working with large molecular cohorts.

Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
