Clutch, Canada’s largest online used car retailer, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remarketing Manager (Wholesale/Auction) to join its Wholesale & Dealer Operations team. This role offers the opportunity to be part of one of Canada’s largest used-car wholesalers and play a key role in driving the growth and success of Clutch’s nationwide auction remarketing strategy.
The Remarketing Manager will be responsible for leading and scaling Clutch’s remarketing team, managing over 1,000 vehicles weekly across auctions such as Adesa, EBlock, and TradeRev. The role involves building and refining pricing frameworks, optimizing auction allocation strategies, and driving higher conversion rates to achieve volume and profitability goals. The successful candidate will also act as a liaison with auction partners, streamline internal processes, and establish clear reporting frameworks to measure performance and inform future strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop a team of remarketing specialists, ensuring performance excellence and professional growth.
Oversee wholesale auction performance and manage conversion rates, profitability targets, and overall sell-through results.
Set data-driven pricing frameworks and reserve-setting processes aligned with margin and time-to-sell goals.
Build and refine strategies for auction allocation across multiple platforms and regions.
Represent Clutch in dealings with auction partners, acting as the primary escalation point to resolve issues and strengthen partnerships.
Streamline workflows by identifying bottlenecks and implementing process improvements to handle larger volumes efficiently.
Develop, monitor, and report on KPIs including conversion, reruns, margins, and reserve-to-sale ratios.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 5 years of experience in remarketing, auction management, or wholesale-related operations.
Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing and scaling teams in fast-paced environments.
Analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities with strong knowledge of pricing, auction metrics, and performance optimization.
Excellent relationship management skills with strong communication abilities to represent Clutch with external partners.
Results-oriented professional driven by KPIs and achieving performance targets.
Strong process orientation with expertise in creating scalable workflows and eliminating inefficiencies.
Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in pricing analysis and condition reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Over 5 years of remarketing or auction-related experience.
Familiarity with both physical and online auto auctions.
