Description:
The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), a globally recognized pediatric healthcare center in Toronto, is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join its Respiratory Diagnostics team within the Division of Respiratory Medicine. This is a contract position, focused on the diagnosis and treatment of cardio-respiratory conditions in infants and children.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct a range of pulmonary diagnostic procedures in the ambulatory pediatric care setting.
Provide therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory support for infants and children with cardio-respiratory challenges.
Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.
Educate and support patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
Contribute to the hospital’s commitment to research, healthcare excellence, and knowledge sharing.
Incorporate evidence-based practices and contribute to continuous improvements in patient care.
Qualifications Required:
Diploma from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program; BSc or equivalent preferred.
Registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO).
Completion of the national certification exam through the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists.
Experience in pediatric pulmonary function testing is an asset.
Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and a team-oriented mindset.

Employment Type & Schedule:
Contract Duration: 18 months
Work Schedule: 0.8 FTE (Monday through Thursday)
