This is an exceptional opportunity for a compassionate and skilled nursing professional to join one of Ontario’s largest and most dynamic hospital systems, serving over 1.3 million residents in Brampton, Etobicoke, and surrounding areas.
As a Registered Nurse in the Birthing Unit, you will provide quality, patient-focused nursing care, ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of mothers and newborns. You will be an integral part of an inter-professional healthcare team, practicing according to Osler’s nursing expectations, the College of Nurses of Ontario standards, and the Regulated Health Professions Act.
Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care in all phases: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Provide patient-centered and culturally sensitive care while maintaining a therapeutic and compassionate environment.
Monitor patient progress, respond promptly to changes in health status, and communicate effectively with the medical team.
Educate patients and families on pre- and postnatal care, breastfeeding, and discharge planning for continuity of care.
Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control practices at all times.
Utilize excellent clinical judgment in emergencies, including neonatal resuscitation and obstetric crisis management.
Collaborate within the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality and coordinated patient outcomes.

Education & Licensing:
Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
Obstetrics Nursing Certificate (required or enrolled within six months of hire).
Current BCLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and Fetal Health Surveillance Certificates.
Completion of the RNAO breastfeeding e-learning course required.
Experience:
Minimum of two years of recent obstetrics experience within the last five years.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Skills:
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Proven leadership and facilitation skills.
Sound knowledge of patient and family-centered care principles.
Excellent physical assessment and decision-making skills.
Proficient in health information systems and clinical documentation.
12-hour shifts (Days/Nights)
Includes weekends and statutory holidays
May be required to travel between Osler sites based on operational needs
Hourly Rate: $39.07 – $56.00
