We are looking for experienced perioperative nurses to join our perioperative team! As the largest children's hospital in Canada, we provide highly specialized surgical care for a very diverse population. With 16 operating theatres plus a hybrid suite, members of our nursing team are able to work in all the major surgical services while developing expertise in paediatric care. We are looking for nurses who are passionate about perioperative patient care, and are interested in becoming pediatric operating room nurses.

As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will provide family-centered nursing care to children during their time in the perioperative unit. Working closely with the diverse interdisciplinary team, you will ensure the patient receives the best care possible through the surgical journey.

Here's What You Need
 

  • Graduate of an approved Baccalaureate Nursing Program
  • Completion of an operating room nursing program required
  • Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse
  • Experience in pediatric nursing
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven Problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under minimal direction
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to be self-directed as well as an effective team player
  • Commitment to continuous learning, improvement, and evidence-based practice.
