William Osler Health System is actively seeking a Registered Nurse for their Labour and Delivery and Postpartum Units in Brampton, Ontario. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care within a culturally diverse environment, ensuring patient safety and wellness. You will function as part of an inter-professional team, delivering patient-focused services across all phases of the nursing process—from assessment to discharge. The role demands clinical excellence, emotional intelligence, and the ability to adapt in high-pressure, fast-paced healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care using assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation processes.

• Ensure patient-centered, culturally sensitive care with an emphasis on safety and therapeutic relationships.

• Respond promptly to changes in patients' health conditions using sound clinical judgment.

• Deliver effective health teaching and thorough discharge planning to patients and families.

• Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols and workplace health and safety regulations.

• Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.

Required Qualifications:

• Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).

• Minimum two years of recent obstetrics experience.

• Certification in:

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

  • Fetal Health Surveillance

  • Obstetrics Nursing (or enrolled within 6 months of hire)

  • Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario Breastfeeding e-learning course

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)

Additional Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights), including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to operational requirements).

• Site Mobility: May be required to work at multiple Osler hospital locations.
