Description:

The Registered Nurse will provide quality, patient-centered nursing care to paediatric and neonatal intensive care patients as part of an inter-professional health care team, adhering to nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Safe nursing practice including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
Compliance with observation policies and procedures
Deliver compassionate, culturally sensitive care ensuring patient safety and wellbeing
Infection control and prevention measures adherence
Respond to emergencies by recognizing health status changes and appropriately consulting the team
Provide health teaching and discharge instructions to patients and families for continuity of care
Current registration and good standing with College of Nurses of Ontario
Strong nursing knowledge, clinical judgment, and autonomous decision-making skills
BCLS certification required
Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
Ability to work collaboratively in an inter-professional team
Experience with patient and family-centred care and health teaching
Leadership and facilitation skills
Ability to work in stressful, fast-paced environments
Commitment to continuous professional development
Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act

Excellent attendance and punctuality
Familiarity with information systems and technology
Shift hours: 12-hour shifts (days/nights), including weekends and statutory holidays
