Description:
The First Nations Health Authority (FNHA), Canada’s first and only provincial First Nations health authority, is seeking a Regional Senior Advisor to join their Regional Operations team based in West Vancouver. This position plays a key leadership role in advancing region- and nation-based health and wellness policies, ensuring local community priorities are integrated into broader strategic frameworks.
As a trusted advisor, you will collaborate with communities, Nations, provincial partners, and internal teams to develop and implement innovative and culturally appropriate health policies. Your work will directly contribute to the FNHA’s mission of supporting First Nations’ self-determination in health and wellness, and improving health outcomes through policy transformation and relationship-building.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic policy leadership for the Interior Region aligned with FNHA objectives
Work closely with Nations and health system partners to ensure regional strategies reflect community priorities
Lead innovation in policy planning, implementation, and evaluation
Support the Vice President, Regional Operations, and collaborate across multiple sectors and stakeholders
Ensure alignment with FNHA-wide policies while maintaining responsiveness to regional and local needs
Qualifications:
A University degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
5–7 years of experience in policy development and implementation
Proven track record of working with First Nations communities, organizations, and leadership
Strong interpersonal, communication, and strategic thinking skills
