Regional Accountant

Description:

Interfor is seeking a Regional Accountant to manage and oversee all by-product sales and accruals for its East and Atlantic Operations. This role will play a critical part in ensuring financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and compliance with accounting standards, while working closely with procurement, operations, and other accounting teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage sales processes including invoicing, pricing, reconciliation, freight, and loading agreement records.

• Ensure data accuracy by managing corrections, discrepancies, and accruals.

• Prepare financial reports, conduct analysis, and perform month-end closing procedures, forecasts, and budgets.

• Collaborate and cross-train with accountants, procurement, and operations to maintain robust financial controls.

What You Offer:

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.

• Familiarity with accounting systems and understanding of relevant laws, codes, and regulations.
