Recruitment Advisor

 

Description:

  • Coordinate all recruitment processes for entry to intermediate level positions
  • Collaborate with HR Consultants and Hiring Managers to establish recruitment priorities
  • Collaborate with business areas to develop posting strategies to attract top caliber talent
  • Prepare job postings in line with HR Consultants and business areas advertisement plans and post jobs on internal and external job boards
  • Screen candidate resumes in the Applicant Tracking System (StartDate)
  • Develop and / or collaborate on the development of interview plans and select appropriate assessment tools to ensure best interview process is used
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews with panel members and candidates
  • Chair interview panels taking detailed notes
  • Ensure interviews are fair, consistent and in alignment with Human Rights practices and our respective Collective Agreements
  • Obtain necessary information from candidates to make best hiring decisions (references, credentials, etc.)
  • Schedule and conduct candidate reference checks
  • Establish offer details and salaries in line with pay scales
  • Communicate the “NAIT Way” to candidates throughout the recruitment process, as well as emphasizing the benefits/ advantages of working at NAIT
  • Deliver candidate regrets and schedule and provide interview feedback for unsuccessful applicants
  • Work collaboratively with the broader Recruitment Enhancement Team to implement measures identified in our Recruitment Enhancement Plan
  • General recruitment related administrative duties including file maintenance and routine data entry
  • Provide backup support and leave coverage for Recruitment Assistant
  • Other responsibilities and project work as required

  • Must be a self-starter, be accountable and be extremely organized. This position works in a very fast-paced environment, running several competitions simultaneously
  • The successful incumbent must have a strong client support focus and be an effective communicator with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Although the recruiter will work very collaboratively with other HR team members and others across all NAIT areas, they must also be able to work independently, display good initiative, be self-aware and have excellent time management skills
