Reporting to the Supervisor of Facilities – Rentals, the Receptionist/Cashier is responsible for providing customer service in person at the reception desk through telephone and on-line, including:
dealing effectively with customer complaints and inquiries;
processing admissions for Town programs through Point of Sale software;
providing information and processing program registrations;
selling Town of Whitby retail items;
providing information on all Town services and policies;
receiving and processing payments for services and admissions;
reconciling daily receipts;
booking and processing of permits for indoor and outdoor recreation facilities and community centres;
providing clerical assistance in the form of preparing documentation, filing, record keeping, etc.; and
assisting with other projects/duties as may be required.
