Description:

This role will apply effective and professional consultative sales and business development principles, practices, and techniques to ensure the identification, negotiation, structuring, and provision of the initial underwriting for complex business transactions, ensuring credit decisions and recommendations in accordance to the expectations of financial lenders.

What you bring

  • 3+ years’ experience in commercial lending (specializing in real estate financing); a mix of residential would be considered.

  • Strong analytical and technical skills, including financial accounting, modelling and loan structuring.

  • Advanced skills in:

    • Business and Financial Acumen

    • Business Valuation

    • Negotiation, Conflict Management and Resolution

    • Problem Solving

    • Relationship Management

    • Risk Management

    • Sales and Service Processes, including Business Development

    • Strategic Business Planning

  • Ability to think strategically with foresight to connect internal and external clients across the larger Colliers business platform.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated success investing in relationships and collaborating with colleagues across the greater business to achieve success.

Bonus Skills

  • Mortgage Broker/Associate License (or working towards one).
