Quality Control Inspector

Description:

Prevost, a division of Volvo Group Canada Inc., is currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector for its Ste-Claire plant. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of all components, whether they are manufactured, purchased, or assembled in predetermined sections of the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify the conformity of parts, assemblies, jigs, and their packaging according to defined quality characteristics or intended use. This will be done visually or using various conventional measuring instruments.

• Prepare inspections by obtaining relevant information from drawings, specifications, procedures, part numbers, work instructions, etc.

• In case of supplier change or new design, ensure the presence and conformity of required documents such as purchase specifications, test reports, and dimensional reports.

Required Qualifications:

• Secondary School Diploma (Secondary V)

• Courses in reading plans

• Courses in measurement interpretation

• Six (6) months of relevant experience in dimensional and/or aesthetic inspection

• Knowledge of the metric system

• One (1) year of experience in a computerized environment

OR

• D.E.P. in machining

• AEC in mechanical engineering
