CIRA is seeking a Marketing-focused Data Analyst to support the .CA domain business through data-driven insights, marketing measurement, analytics strategy, and performance reporting. The role involves leading data projects, producing dashboards, analyzing web and campaign performance, and guiding stakeholders with actionable business recommendations. Working at the intersection of analytics and marketing, the role supports strategic planning, forecasting, experimentation, and optimization of the customer journey.
The analyst will play a major role in shaping how data informs marketing strategy for one of Canada’s most recognizable digital brands—the .CA domain.
Lead data and research projects for marketing, defining goals, methodologies, and working with external vendors.
Implement best practices for data reporting, governance, and accessibility.
Build business/campaign performance dashboards and offer actionable optimization insights.
Present findings to leadership teams to influence strategic decisions.
Evaluate marketing campaign effectiveness using marketing mix models and third-party reporting tools.
Analyze website and UX data using GA4 and Google Tag Manager; recommend journey improvements.
Support forecasting, KPI definition, and maintain analytics frameworks.
Promote a company-wide data-driven culture and help teams leverage analytical tools.
Support A/B testing with pre-analysis, setup recommendations, and post-test insights.
Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, or related field.
7+ years hands-on experience in analytics or BI roles.
Strong skills in Python, SQL, Excel, and scripting languages.
Proficiency with BI tools such as Qlik Sense, Power BI, Looker Studio.
Experience with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and understanding of website architecture.
Strong communication skills—ability to simplify complex data into clear narratives.
Experience building marketing dashboards and telling compelling stories with data.
Familiarity with cloud data platforms and machine learning tools (asset).
Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, KPIs, and attribution models.
Experience with MMM (Marketing Mix Modeling) is an asset.
Experience in B2B or channel-based analytics preferred.
Strategic mindset with strong curiosity and analytical rigor.
Ability to translate insights into recommendations that drive marketing growth.
Collaborative, solutions-oriented, and comfortable leading data initiatives.
Skilled at explaining complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
Ability to work hybrid (remote + Ottawa office events).
Supports fostering a data-driven culture within the organization.
Experience with A/B testing frameworks and marketing analytics methodologies.
Bilingual posting available (English/French), but bilingualism is not explicitly required.
