Description:
CAE, a global leader in aviation and simulation-based training, is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to oversee and enhance its comprehensive quality systems within the manufacturing environment. This position involves end-to-end auditing, product and process validation, inspection, and quality control during the full manufacturing cycle. The ideal candidate will ensure alignment with internal standards and regulatory requirements while actively driving continuous improvement initiatives across quality operations.
Conduct full-cycle audits: plan, execute, report findings, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
Includes both internal process audits (e.g., manufacturing, regulatory compliance) and external supplier audits.
Ensure product compliance with manufacturing requirements through:
Developing inspection/test standards
Establishing control points
Supervising inspections
Managing non-conformities and implementing resolutions
Lead Material Review Board (MRB) meetings and provide actionable recommendations.
Validate and verify processes including qualification of production techniques.
Deploy and manage factory metrics for continuous improvement.
Identify improvement opportunities using quality tools (Ishikawa diagrams, Pareto charts, control graphs).
Facilitate quality improvement sessions and corrective action planning.
Diploma of Collegial Studies (D.E.C.) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical training and experience).
At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in internal and external audits (especially supplier audits).
Deep understanding of ISO 9001:2015 standards and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Familiarity with manufacturing processes for mechanical and electrical products, including:
Mechanical/Electrical assembly
PCB (printed circuit board) assembly
Cable assembly
Bilingual (French and English) – English is essential due to the international scope of meetings and collaboration.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions based on analysis.
