Description:
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is currently seeking a QA Analyst with specialized expertise in the Payments domain to join its growing team in Toronto, ON. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated QA professional with deep domain knowledge of banking and financial payment systems, SWIFT messaging formats, and end-to-end testing frameworks.
As a QA Analyst at TCS, you will be working closely with development teams and business stakeholders to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and regulatory compliance of payment processing systems. You will be expected to apply your experience in quality assurance and your strong familiarity with payments-related terminology and standards to evaluate, validate, and optimize the functioning of advanced payments platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform end-to-end testing of payment processing systems, interfaces, and workflows to ensure data accuracy and system integrity.
Validate SWIFT messages (MT and MX types) including Customer-to-Customer and Bank-to-Bank transfers.
Conduct field mapping and data verification for ISO20022 message conversions (MT to MX, MX to MX).
Collaborate with technical and business teams to understand payments architecture and ensure robust test coverage.
Participate in interface testing and collaborate on system integration across payments platforms such as GPP, OPF, IWS/BESS, or other enterprise-grade payments systems.
Leverage deep understanding of banking terminologies such as Nostro/Vostro accounts, Beneficiary and Intermediary banks, Correspondent banks, RMA, and Sanctions filtering mechanisms.
Identify bugs, prepare test cases, execute test scripts, and log defects for remediation in accordance with QA best practices.
Required Skills & Expertise:
In-depth understanding of Payments domain terminology (e.g., Nostro, Vostro, Beneficiary Bank, Intermediary Bank, Correspondent Bank, RMA, Sanctions).
Hands-on experience with SWIFT messaging standards, particularly MT and MX formats.
Practical knowledge of ISO20022 message mapping and transformations.
Proficiency in using payment platforms such as OPF, GPP, IWS/BESS, or similar tools.
Strong foundation in QA methodologies, including interface and system testing in financial systems.
Ability to work in an Agile environment with cross-functional teams.
