Description:

V-Soft Consulting is hiring for a Systems Testing/QA Specialist to join their premier client in Toronto, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in planning, organizing, and executing testing efforts for both large and small systems. The role requires strong knowledge of structured methodologies, development, design, and maintenance of applications, as well as experience using Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools, automated testing tools, and version control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute functional, non-functional, and systems-level integration tests.

• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and participate in UAT activities.

• Develop and maintain testing strategy documentation, test plans, test cases, and test data for various types and phases of testing, including technical and business functional validation.

• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, load testing, performance testing, and other quality assurance activities.

• Utilize automated testing tools, as well as tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps for DevOps practices.

Must-Have Skills:

• 10 years of experience in planning and organizing testing efforts for both large and small systems, with experience in GUI and non-GUI environments.

• Experience with the Oracle Platform and DevOps tools (Jira, Azure DevOps).

• Proven track record in executing functional tests, non-functional tests, and systems-level integration tests.

• Expertise in coding automated test scripts and producing sets of automated test cases.

• Strong knowledge in testing web-based, online, batch, client-server systems, and web services.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of at least one programming language.

• Experience with information retrieval packages and accessibility standards (AODA).

• Experience in testing Commercial Off-the-Shelf Applications (COTS).

• Understanding of object-oriented testing methods and Information Management principles.
