Roles and responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the buying team, setting clear goals and performance expectations
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., planning, finance, operations) to plan purchases
- Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Use ERP systems (IFS) and procurement tools to track orders and generate reports
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness
- Independently carries out Procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFQs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis.
- Drive actions to mitigate potential delivery delays by identifying risks, performing root cause analysis and development of recovery plans to bring shipments back in-line with customer requirements.
- Coordinates all activities related to procurement beginning with intent to purchase through delivery.
- Manages the release of RFQ’s and PO’s in accordance with company and government regulations.
- Negotiates the lowest possible cost balanced against the optimum quality and schedule needs.
- Assures material is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the company.
- Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain or procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in supply chain software (e.g., IFS, SAP, Oracle)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proven track record of managing teams and delivering results in a fast-paced environment
- Supply chain experience for an aerospace and/or Defense Company.
- Procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
