Description:
Softchoice is on the lookout for a driven and experienced Public Cloud Pre-Sales Specialist with a focus on AWS to join their team. This key role within the organization is pivotal for driving the success of Softchoice’s AWS business, helping guide sales teams to effectively position and sell AWS cloud services to customers across different industries.
In this position, you will be responsible for generating and maintaining demand within the sales team by facilitating AWS-focused sales enablement activities. You will support the development of AWS sales strategies, ensuring the team’s ability to position Softchoice as a trusted cloud partner for AWS solutions. By providing specialized knowledge, you will help guide account managers and sales teams through the entire sales process—from initial customer engagement to closing deals, ensuring smooth transitions throughout.
You will manage the AWS Product & Services Pipeline, making sure it is clean, accurate, and sufficient for forecasting and opportunity management. One of your key responsibilities is providing ongoing enablement for sales teams, ensuring they are equipped with the right tools, resources, and strategies to drive new business. This also includes being the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on AWS programs, providing guidance to both customers and sales staff about the AWS offerings and solutions that best meet their needs.
Additionally, you will play a vital role in collaborating with Regional Business Development Managers (BDMs) and other cross-functional teams to help position Softchoice as the go-to partner for AWS. You will be directly involved in maximizing the use of AWS funding programs and ensuring that these opportunities are fully leveraged to benefit Softchoice’s clients and enhance the sales process.
You will also provide valuable support to customers throughout the entire sales cycle, ensuring a seamless experience, and maximizing Softchoice’s ability to close deals successfully. Your ability to engage with senior-level executives, customers, and internal teams will be critical in establishing Softchoice as a thought leader and partner of choice for AWS solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
AWS Product & Services Pipeline Management: Ensuring a healthy, accurate, and sufficient sales pipeline, with responsibility for opportunity submissions, management, and forecasting.
Sales Enablement: Providing continuous support and training to sales teams, assisting them in executing AWS GTM (Go-to-Market) strategies, and helping generate opportunities.
Sales Cycle Support: Assisting with the sales process from the qualification phase to closing, offering expertise in AWS solutions and ensuring that sales teams are well-equipped to close opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working alongside BDMs and other departments, ensuring that sales strategies are aligned with AWS offerings and customer needs.
AWS Programs and Funding: Maximizing the use of AWS funding programs for clients to ensure they get the most value from their investments.
What You Bring to the Table:
At least 5 years of experience in B2B sales, with a strong preference for experience in the technology sector.
Proven track record in solution sales with consistent year-over-year performance that meets or exceeds targets.
A goal-oriented approach with strong problem-solving and organizational skills to manage complex sales cycles.
Ability to deliver exceptional customer service and manage customer relationships effectively.
Strong executive presence, with excellent communication skills at all levels.
A solid understanding of Cloud computing, specifically AWS services, and solutions.
AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification (a requirement for the role).
Proficiency in using Salesforce.com for opportunity management, forecasting, and reporting.
