Responsibilities
 

  • Provide comprehensive psychological assessments exploring a wide range of learning, attention, and/or mental health needs.
  • Responsible for administering and scoring psychological measures of children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds.
  • Generate clinical summaries and reports of psychometric results in order to provide feedback to the assessing psychologist and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide observations relevant for interpretation of assessment results and offer recommendations for intervention.
  • Follow an evidence-based approach to assessment.
  • Manage a varied caseload and meet required timelines.
  • Maintain complete and accurate medical records using the Electronic Medical Record system.
  • Summer contract position. Opportunity to extend as well.
     

Qualifications
 

  • M.A. or Ph.D. in Psychology (Ph.D. students and students in supervised practice welcome).
  • Course work and previous clinical experience in administering and scoring psychometric measures with children and adolescents.
  • Knowledge of child and adolescent psychosocial development and psychopathology. Experience/Skills:
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in psychological assessment with children and adolescents.
  • Prefer experience in working with pediatric mental health concerns.
  • Collaborate effectively with members of a multidisciplinary team and work independently.
  • Apply evidence-based practices in assessments and interventions.
  • Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills in various situations.
  • Maintain a high attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Interact effectively with children and adults, utilizing excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Manage time efficiently and demonstrate strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate grit and adaptability in challenging situations.
