Title: Manager, Psychological Health & Safety and OHS

Salary: $99,899 - $117,528 - $135,158 per year (pay range explained below)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours, 8:00am-4:00pm (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)

Location: Coast Salish Territories of Squamish, Musqueam and Tsleil-Waututh- Metro Vancouver- Park Royal or Sinclair office – Hybrid (3 days in office) (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy). This role may require travel from time to time

Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway in Spring 2027.

About The Role

As Manager, Psychological Health & Safety and OHS, you will lead FNHA’s organization-wide implementation of the National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety (CSA Z1003) through an FNHA lens, elevating the standard and centered on cultural safety & humility, anti-racism, and First Nations perspectives of holistic wellness practices. You will provide leadership oversight of the OHS department aligning Psychological Health and Safety with broader Health and Safety strategy, programs, policies, and practices where needed. The Manager’s portfolio is primarily focused on PHS strategy, delivery, and evaluation across FNHA. Additionally, you work closely with FNHA’s Cultural Safety & Humility (CS&H) and People and Culture team to understand CS&H, embed CS&H practices in the PHS Management System, and set measurable indicators for culture, safety, and wellness along with PHS programming. (implementation of the Standard, system-level projects, reporting, invested party leadership and engagement)

About You

To be successful in this role you will have –

Education & Occupational Certification, Experience (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS)
 

  • Under grad in Social Sciences, OD, Leadership, Adult Learning, Behavioural Science (or related)
  • 7–9 years’ relevant experience in medium/large organizations or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • PHS expertise: Deep knowledge of psychosocial factors and CSA Z1003/National Standard; demonstrated success implementing organization-wide PHS systems and change
  • Project management, data/evaluation, conflict management, excellent communication
  • A valid BC Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record as well as access to transportation
     

Education & Occupational Certification (CONSIDERED AS ASSET)
 

  • Master’s in Social Sciences, OD, Leadership, Adult Learning, Behavioural Science (or related)
  • 7–9 years’ healthcare experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to travel across BC, occasionally and work outside standard hours to meet FNHA needs as required
  • Cultural Safety & Humility (preferred): Demonstrated understanding and application of CS&H in a PHS system. e.g., co-creating psychologically safe processes with First Nations partners; trauma and resilience informed approaches; privileging lived experience; addressing racism, lateral violence, and stigma; integrating ceremony/language where appropriate; and measuring culturally safe outcomes.

  • Commitment to cultural safety & humility; anti-racism; equity, diversity & inclusion; and working in a way that upholds First Nations self-determination
  • Hybrid office/community travel (including remote communities); extended screen time; periods of high intensity around implementations, engagement cycles, and reporting windows
