Description:
CIMT College is seeking a PSW Instructor to teach the Personal Support Worker program, which is registered with the Ministry of Colleges and Universities. The instructor will be responsible for delivering the curriculum, using the provided courseware, resources, evaluations, and lesson plans. The role involves following CIMT College's policies and procedures, with a focus on professional conduct and excellence in classroom instruction, especially hands-on training.
Deliver the Personal Support Worker program following the instructor manuals and utilizing provided resources.
Train students with the necessary knowledge and skills required for employment in the field.
Adhere to CIMT College’s policies and procedures while maintaining high standards of teaching.
Ensure a primary focus on hands-on training for students.
Provide effective classroom instruction, both online and on-campus as per the hybrid schedule.
Must be registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as an RN or RPN.
Must be available to teach both online and on-campus, as per the hybrid teaching schedule.
One of the following experience requirements:
48 months of work experience in the vocation, OR
36 months of teaching experience in the vocation and 24 months of work experience in the vocation, OR
24 months of work experience in the vocation AND one of the following:
A Bachelor’s degree from a Canadian university or equivalent,
Graduate of a College of Applied Arts and Technology or equivalent,
Graduate of a registered OCC (Ontario College of Community Services) or equivalent.
