Description:
The Canadian Standards Association (CSA Group) is seeking a Project Manager – Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency to join its growing team dedicated to developing innovative standards that drive sustainability, safety, and environmental performance. This position offers a dynamic and collaborative environment for professionals passionate about advancing renewable energy technologies and reducing greenhouse gas emissions through impactful standards development.
In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating technical discussions, coordinating standardization initiatives, and promoting consensus among key stakeholders including industry experts, government agencies, researchers, and manufacturers. You will play a crucial part in managing projects that enhance energy efficiency and promote clean energy technologies, ensuring compliance with both SCC (Standards Council of Canada) and ANSI (American National Standards Institute) procedures.

Standards Development: Lead and coordinate the development of standards-based solutions in renewable energy and energy efficiency programs.
Innovation: Identify and manage new business opportunities that expand CSA’s portfolio in clean technology and sustainability.
Project Management: Oversee project timelines, resources, budgets, risks, and deliverables while ensuring adherence to CSA’s quality and process standards.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, academia, regulators, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including Legal, Finance, and Management to develop project proposals, contracts, and financial analyses.
Compliance: Ensure all projects conform to CSA’s internal procedures and national/international accreditation requirements.
Committee Support: Organize and facilitate both virtual and in-person committee meetings to promote effective communication and decision-making.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or technologist certification (BSc, B.Eng, or CET) in Engineering or a related field; Electrical or Mechanical disciplines preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in energy, manufacturing, utilities, or policy/regulatory sectors.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools, and data analysis.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing and public speaking.
Leadership: Proven leadership, negotiation, and decision-making capabilities.
Organization: Highly detail-oriented with outstanding project planning and time management skills.
Language: Bilingualism (English and French) considered an asset.
Travel: Occasional travel may be required.
