Description:
CSA Group, a leading global organization in standards, testing, inspection, and certification, is seeking a Project Manager for its Alternative Energy Vehicles Program. This position involves managing a portfolio of codes, standards, and guidelines for alternative energy vehicles including natural gas, hydrogen-powered vehicles, battery electric vehicles (EVs), connected and automated vehicles, and intelligent transportation infrastructure.
The role requires engaging with leading experts in transportation technology and low-carbon fuel sectors to facilitate discussions among key stakeholders and develop innovative solutions to advance safety, sustainability, and industry standards. The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of assigned projects, emphasizing leadership, planning, and communication, while maintaining credibility in technical subject areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of assigned projects, including timelines, resource allocation, and project schedules.
Manage standards development activities and conduct business development initiatives to expand the program portfolio.
Establish and maintain relationships with key interest groups, including academia, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
Promote committee efficiency, evaluate member performance, and take corrective action as required.
Consult with clients and internal CSA Group teams to support standards development and assess impact.
Liaise with clients, management, Legal, and Finance for proposals, contracts, and financial analyses.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s or technical degree in a relevant field (advanced degree highly desirable).
Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.
Excellent project management, organizational, planning, leadership, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
Strong ability to network, manage relationships, identify opportunities, and drive new business.
Creative, participative, and flexible in managing assignments.
High self-motivation, resilience, adaptability, and flexibility.
Proficient in MS Office, project planning software, and presentation tools.
Highly developed oral, facilitation, and communication skills.
French language proficiency is considered an asset.
Some travel may be required.
