SBR Signalisation is seeking a Project Manager – Roadway Signaling Engineer to join its team. If you have extensive experience in signaling and wish to manage large-scale technical projects in a dynamic environment, this position is for you. Experience in roadway signaling is required.

Job Summary:
Working alongside the Director of Projects and Engineering, the Project Manager – Engineer will be responsible for addressing client needs by planning, designing, and managing roadway signaling projects. The role ensures that projects comply with current standards, deadlines, and budgets, while ensuring the safety and efficiency of transportation infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise roadway signaling projects

• Develop technical studies, specifications, and plans in accordance with MTMD (Quebec Ministry of Transportation and Sustainable Mobility) standards

• Ensure the compliance of projects and drawings created by the design team

• Monitor project timelines, costs, and resources

• Assess risks and propose suitable solutions

• Write technical reports and recommendations for clients and stakeholders

• Design temporary and permanent roadway signaling plans

• Conduct traffic analysis and optimize signaling

• Apply, validate, and confirm current standards, including the MTMD Volume V – Roadway Signaling

• Conduct simulations and safety assessments

• Coordinate with municipal, provincial, and other authorities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

• Present technical recommendations to clients and monitoring committees

• Ensure project compliance with regulations

• Stay informed about developments in roadway signaling and safety

• Integrate new technologies and innovative approaches into projects

Education / Experience / Certification:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related field

• 3 to 5 years of experience in roadway signaling or related field

• Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) required

• Valid driver’s license

Knowledge:

• Excellent knowledge of MTMD

• Familiarity with traffic analysis tools

• Bilingual (French and English) required, with excellent proficiency in French

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with technology

• Proficient in AutoCAD and advanced Excel

• This position does not involve managing employees. However, it requires managing the distribution of projects and ensuring deadlines are met by colleagues under the Project Manager’s supervision.
