The Project Management Associate – Non-Technical is responsible for executing small to medium-sized projects of varying duration, and is responsible for providing operational support to internal clients throughout the project delivery life cycle. The incumbent will apply established project management principles and is accountable to the project director and the project sponsors for projects derived from firm initiatives and/or lines of business. This individual must thrive in a fast-paced environment and work independently while maintaining open communication with stakeholders. Strong organizational and analytical skills, the ability to learn quickly, and attention to detail are essential. Additional skills required include meeting facilitation and scheduling, data analysis, communications including presentations and reporting, stakeholder management, issues management & escalation.
Responsibilities:
Partner strategically with assigned internal clients to support short and long-term projects
- Execute on scope and manage objectives, schedule, and deliverables that support business goals.
- Track progress using project plans, activity logs, and status reports.
- Identify risks and issues and escalate to project director and sponsor(s) as needed.
- Identify activities as either in or out of scope.
- Identify project stakeholders and manage stakeholder requirements; communicate with and involve stakeholders at the appropriate level throughout the project, including status updates and following up with stakeholders to ensure progress.
- Schedule and facilitate meetings, prepare meeting materials, and facilitate meetings while documenting key meeting topics for distribution to attendees afterwards.
- Provide activity oversight for completion of established objectives and activities.
Generate and maintain project documentation
- Develop and maintain a detailed schedule including administrative tasks and all key stakeholders for each project.
- Create and maintain project documentation to evaluate, plan, monitor, & follow up on active projects.
- Prepare impactful presentations supported by data analysis, fact-checking and effective visualization techniques.
- Collect, document, and archive lessons learned for future project use.
- Be responsible for the accuracy and completion of all project documentation
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in business related area or equivalent experience/certification(s)
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or other PMI certification (preferred)
Technical Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Demonstrated experience with project management software

Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of project management experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with management level individuals, preferably within mid to large size firm(s) or other professional services experience
- Previous experience working in a matrix team environment
