Agilus is recruiting for a Project Engineer in the Oil and Gas Industry in Sarnia, Ontario.
Our client is currently seeking a Project Engineer for a 1 year contract with opportunity for renewal/extension. Successful candidate will be working primarily on Capital Projects work orders.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining a co-operative, motivated and successful project team
- Developing, planning, defining and executing capital investment projects
- Ensuring that projects are delivered on time, to budget and required quality standards
- Ensuring that projects are effectively resourced
- Managing relationships with a wide range of groups, including plant Engineers/Operators, Maintenance/Safety groups
- Managing the work of in-house CapEx Engineering teams and external Engineering consultants, allocating and utilising resources
- Ensure project schedules are developed and maintained throughout all project stages,implement corrective measures as required
Requirements
- Professional Engineer designation - preferred
- Familiarity with multi-discipline project scopes, ie.- process/ piping design, mechanical / civil & structural / electrical/instrument & controls Engineering
- NOTE: having expertise within at least one Engineering discipline is an asset
- 5+ years Petrochem experience preferred
