CAE, a global leader in training and simulation technologies for aviation, defense, and security, is seeking a highly experienced Project and Execution Solution Lead for its Future Fighter Lead-in Training (FFLIT) program in Ottawa, ON. This senior leadership role is integral to CAE’s mission of enhancing safety, readiness, and training capabilities for defense forces worldwide. The successful candidate will oversee complex program execution, manage client relationships, and drive innovative training solutions that combine CAE’s simulation technologies with cutting-edge methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the FFLIT Strategic Partnership project with the Government of Canada, ensuring compliance with all technical and programmatic requirements.

  • Oversee project scope, schedule, costs, income, risk, and customer relationships, ensuring successful delivery.

  • Monitor and report progress regularly to both internal stakeholders and clients, resolving challenges proactively.

  • Support CAE’s Lead-to-Award (L2A) business development process, from pre-RFP engagement through proposal and contract award.

  • Develop winning execution strategies aligned with Capture Plans.

  • Lead the preparation of key project deliverables, including:

    • Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)

    • Risk and Opportunity registers

    • Assumptions, Dependencies, and Exclusions register

    • Management and Risk Management Plans

    • Statements of Work (SOWs)

    • Transition and Sustainment Plans

    • Milestone Payment Plans ensuring cash neutrality

    • Export Control Plans for secure transfer of technical data

  • Interface with suppliers/partners to ensure technical compliance and proper SOW coverage.

  • Deliver high-level presentations, solution reviews, and negotiation sessions with clients and senior leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or a related field.

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) is considered an asset.

  • PMP certification (or equivalent project management certification).

  • 10–15 years of program management leadership experience in industry and/or military service, including 5–10 years specifically in defense training programs (operational and/or maintenance).

  • Proven track record leading complex development, training integration, or engineering projects with high risk/uncertainty.

  • Strong experience with business capture and proposal processes for large-scale custom programs.

  • Knowledge of CAE products, simulation technologies, and training solutions preferred.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and people management skills.

  • Strong business acumen, problem-solving ability, and political awareness.

  • Bilingualism (English/French) preferred.

  • Eligible for NATO SECRET security clearance.
