Production Team Leader

Description:

CAE, a global leader in training solutions across civil aviation, defense, and healthcare, is seeking a Team Leader, Production-EN to join their dynamic team in Montreal, Quebec. This position is ideal for a motivated, bilingual individual with leadership experience in production or manufacturing environments and a strong background in electrical or mechanical systems. Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

• Plan, coordinate, and direct human and material resources to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining product quality and outstanding customer service

• Monitor work progress, quality, and cost control, and implement effective solutions to issues that arise

• Oversee employee performance, set objectives, conduct evaluations, and manage discipline aligned with HR policies and union agreements

Process Improvement & Compliance:

• Lead internal improvement projects to enhance productivity, safety, and profitability

• Develop and implement operational standards, policies, and procedures

• Enforce health and safety standards in line with best practices

Project & Team Coordination:

• Manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate project and product development activities

• Ensure optimal collaboration across departments for seamless execution of production goals

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: College diploma in a relevant field (electrical or mechanical preferred)

• Experience: At least 5 years in a production environment or equivalent training

• Technical & Leadership Skills:

  • Strong background in Lean principles

  • Experience in unionized settings (preferred)

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools

  • Ability to manage health and safety processes

• Language: Bilingual (French and English)

• Availability: Must be available to work 70% day shift and 30% night shift
