Description:
The Production Support Associate performs non-production activities that support manufacturing processes while adhering to quality and productivity requirements in a safe manufacturing environment. This role requires limited guidance and emphasizes health and safety compliance, quality control, and effective teamwork to support continuous improvement.
Must-Have Skills and Experience:
Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract (confirmation required by vendor)
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with various stakeholders
Ability to access Oil Sands Mine Sites (must comply with drug and alcohol testing requirements)
Experience in industrial cleaning, including cleaning trucks, shops, and related equipment
A strong safety mindset to maintain a secure working environment
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Key Responsibilities:
Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE):
Immediately report any major injury hazards or incidents
Report all work-related injuries, illnesses, hazards, or incidents
Follow HSE policies, procedures, and regulations strictly
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) consistently
Promote workplace safety by looking out for others and correcting hazards within capability
Understand and minimize environmental impacts related to job activities
Actively participate in HSE training programs
Quality:
Follow standard work procedures, process documentation, and policies
Raise quality concerns proactively to reduce costs and risk exposures
Perform quality inspections as required
Delivery:
Execute tasks in accordance with defined roles and responsibilities
Demonstrate competency in core work skills
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, safety, and process efficiency
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including housekeeping duties
Apply Cummins Operating System (COS) and Operations Excellence (OE) practices throughout plant operations
Remain flexible to perform additional duties to meet manufacturing goals
Collaborate with peers and all organizational levels to sustain process performance
Teamwork:
Communicate effectively within assigned and support teams
Complete required training and personal development aligned with business needs
Participate actively in identifying and implementing improvements in quality, safety, processes, material flow, and employee development
