Production Planner

Description:

Champeau is a family-owned company specializing in the manufacture of high-quality hardwood components. The company operates in Saint-Malo and Lac-Mégantic, employing over 230 dedicated and highly skilled people. Champeau is seeking a Production Planner to join their team. The Production Planner will be responsible for planning and scheduling production activities to ensure timely delivery of orders, optimize material usage, and maximize production capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Determine production capacity and delivery deadlines based on the current production schedule.

• Plan production according to received orders and available raw materials.

• Ensure a proper production ratio between sold items and inventory items.

• Communicate necessary production information to each department.

• Plan daily and weekly production schedules.

• Receive new orders from the sales department for production.

• Coordinate and plan shipments.

• Participate in the creation of monthly production schedules.

• Act as a resource for production guidelines and quality standards.

• Participate in quality-related working groups.

• Perform other related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's or Associate degree in administration, operations management, industrial engineering, or equivalent.

• Ability to learn technical aspects (understanding manufacturing processes, product specifications, clients, and markets).

• Client-oriented approach.

• Ability to manage priorities.

• Decision-making skills and attention to quality.

• Rigorous, organized, and structured.

• Strong communication skills.

• Proficiency in computer software (advanced Excel, Power BI, Optimizer with AI).
