The Production Coordinator works with our Production Team, ensuring the successful execution of projects in accordance with plans, codes, and specifications while prioritizing safety, quality, budget, and production targets. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate the daily activities in our manufacturing facility to ensure our projects stay on time and on budget. As a hands-on team-member, you are always willing to spend time on the production floor as well as behind a desk or in a meeting room. You are a confident, energetic leader who can share responsibility and hold people accountable when required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate all aspects of production operations, including scheduling and budgeting, labour, equipment, third party vendors, materials, and procurement of necessary items.
- Ensure our treatment plants are constructed in compliance with production plans, codes, and specifications. Maintain daily communication with Project Managers regarding job-specific needs, including workforce and project requirements.
- Enforce all applicable safety precautions and programs, maintaining safe work practices.
- Uphold quality control standards and coordinate daily deficiency inspections and repairs, job hazard analysis and logs, documenting shop operations.
- Manage project schedules, including providing updates, adhering to schedules to ensure projects are completed on-time and within budget. Prioritize production optimization.
- Develop three-week project schedules, including workstation management, labor reporting, resource availability, material staging and resolution of bottleneck conditions.
- Coordinate weekly shop production meetings, progress walkarounds, inspections.
- Coordinate material delivery status, ordering of materials, deliveries and inventory.
- Attend construction job sites to support installations and fix deficiencies as needed.
- Provide hands-on work, supporting the production, maintaining the work environment.
- Coordinate daily inspections of workers and evaluate their performance. Responsible for performance management of shop employees. Ensure shop processes are followed.

- Capability to review, understand, and interpret blueprints.
- Post Secondary Technology Diploma in a relevant field
- Trade certification in an applicable trade is considered an asset.
