Product Support Specialist

 

Description:

Unilever, a global company serving 3.4 billion people in over 190 countries, is seeking a Product Support Specialist for its Unilever Food Solutions (UFS) business in Toronto. UFS is the fifth largest business unit within Unilever, operating in 76 markets with a turnover of approximately €3 billion. UFS focuses on chefs and field sales to drive demand creation in a B2B food service environment. The Product Support Specialist plays a critical role in supporting customer inquiries, ensuring accurate product data flow, and enabling the sales process through digital tools and collaboration across Marketing, R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate product data flow from Unilever systems to customer interfaces and audit internal/external platforms.

  • Lead or assist projects to improve automation in product support processes.

  • Coordinate product compliance statements, certifications, and letters; provide customized compliance documentation.

  • Populate customer surveys, questionnaires, RFPs, and RFIs with product data.

  • Support selling processes by maintaining Customer Product Compliance Websites and publishing monthly price lists.

  • Respond to product data inquiries as Level 2 support, coordinating with R&D and Quality for Level 3 issues.

  • Maintain and create process documentation and knowledge articles.

  • Manage relationships with Unilever Consumer Engagement Center and provide training.

  • Manage sales enablement tools (Showpad) including user access, content curation, page creation, updates, and integration projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, Nutrition, Information Systems, or related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of product support or related experience.

  • Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented with ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Knowledge of insurance, HAACP, nutrition, sustainability, and product data management.

  • Familiarity with systems such as PIM, PLM, Showpad, Syndigo, Salesforce, Chatbots.

  • Experience with software integration projects and Microsoft 365 suite.

  • R&D or regulatory background is a plus.

  • English fluency required; French or Spanish proficiency is an asset.
